A Letter From Darien

Dear Game Changers,

As most of you know my name is Darien Waite. I just wanted to come on here and thank all of the people that have gotten me to this point. First of all, I’d like to express my gratitude towards my mom and dad who have pushed me since a young age to do my best and put my best self forward. I want to thank Coach Dylan Heningburg who pushes me to be a better lacrosse player and better human being every single day. He is hard on me, but I know it comes from a place of love. I want to also thank Coach Taylor Iraggi, there are lessons that you have taught that I will cherish forever and you don’t know how much of an impact you have had on my life. To Cole Abel, Sam Busch, and the Abel and Busch families, I appreciate you introducing me to the wonderful game of lacrosse and being more than teammates and fans, but brothers and family to me.

The Game Changers family has created this amazing opportunity, so that I can achieve my dreams without stressing about tuition. You don’t understand how much that means to me and how thankful I am for all of the donations and support. This organization deserves recognition for the great things it is doing and will do in the future. If it weren’t for you guys I wouldn’t be standing here today, preparing to study chemical engineering at the Rochester Institute of Technology. There aren’t words that could articulate the appreciation that I have for all of you and your families.

Thank you,

Darien Waite
